Shadyside Presbyterian Church Nursery School (SPCNS) admits children from the ages of two to five without regard to race, culture, sex, religion, national origin, ancestry or disability. An application must be sent each school year with a $25 application fee. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis. Parents of current students, members of the Shadyside Presbyterian Church and alumni will receive admission preference. Prior to the child’s enrollment, a visit and tour of the nursery school is strongly encouraged so that families and children can familiarize themselves with the environment, staff, and procedures. Acceptance letters will be sent out by the end of February. Upon acceptance, a non-refundable $100 deposit is required to reserve a student’s space for the following school year. Parents do not need to reapply or to send an additional application fee for the second semester. Children enrolling in the two-year-old program must be two years old by September 1 of the entering school year. Children enrolling in the three-, four-, and five-year-old programs are expected to be toilet-trained before the beginning of the school year. SPCNS will provide a copy of its bylaws to any parent who requests a copy. |
